individuals and teams, this session provides actionable strategies to embed
disability inclusion into every facet of your organization. 

Description

The workshop begins by exploring how your company’s identity shapes disability inclusion outcomes. Participants will assess their organization’s current position on the Disability Inclusion Journey Map and discover how inclusion impacts critical areas like hiring practices, employee engagement, and customer experience. With this foundation, you'll identify meaningful next steps to advance your inclusion efforts. 

Next, the focus shifts to the individual perspective. Through interactive discussions, participants will uncover how personal actions influence their organization’s journey and outcomes. These conversations will empower attendees to recognize their role in driving change and overcoming barriers to progress. 

Through dynamic activities, participants will: 
  • Identify barriers to disability inclusion at both individual and organizational levels. 
  • Gain practical tools to navigate challenges and inspire collaboration across teams. 
  • Develop a roadmap for fostering a culture of inclusion with measurable impact. 
  • By the end of the session, attendees will leave with clear insights into what a disability-inclusive culture looks like, strategies to enhance departmental synergy, and actionable steps to seize opportunities for growth. This workshop is your catalyst for creating a workplace where inclusion isn’t just a value—it’s a competitive advantage.

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will understand how disability inclusion impacts all areas of business and will be able to identify actionable steps for embedding inclusion principles into their departmental and organizational practices.  
  • Participants will leverage 'journey maps' of the employee and company workplace disability inclusion lifecycles, focusing on identifying key touchpoints where disability inclusion efforts can have the greatest impact.  
  • Participants will analyze barriers to disability inclusion at both individual and organizational levels, developing strategies to overcome these challenges while fostering meaningful change based upon the needs of their own business needs. 
  • Attendees will gain tools and frameworks to enhance collaboration across departments, identify areas of opportunity, and implement practical next steps to build or enhance their disability-inclusive workplace culture.  
  • Attendees will explore the role of individual actions in shaping an organization’s disability inclusion journey, recognizing the impact of personal accountability and leadership at all levels.

HR Recertification Credits

SHRM Certification has approved the Master Class for ​3.5 PDCs and the Disability Inclusion Summit for 5.5 PDCs toward SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP recertification.

​A program code will be provided at the end of the event. The program also meets recertification credit standards set by the HR Certification Institute ​and other HR certifying bodies, but candidates must manually enter their activity into their records.

Registration is for the sole use of the individual listed on the original registration and cannot be shared or split between individuals.

TRANSFER OR CHANGE OF REGISTRATION
  • Transfer - If you register and are unable to attend, you may substitute another senior level colleague in your place.
    Information for the new individual must be provided by September 17.

CANCELLATION POLICY
​The cancellation deadline is September 11, 2025 and requests must be made via email by that date to receive a refund, minus a $75 cancellation fee. Registrations who do not cancel prior to September 11 will be liable for the full registration fee. Not attending does not constitute cancellation. No refunds will be processed prior to the event.

IMAGE USE POLICY
Registration to the Master Class constitutes an agreement by the attendee to the Center for Disability Inclusion's use and distribution, both current and future, of the attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events and activities. Attendees waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials and agree that all such pictures, video or audio recordings, and any reproduction thereof, shall remain the property of the Center for Disability Inclusion to use at its discretion. Consent is binding, perpetual and may not be revoked.
